This first meeting was designed to be a 90 minute storytelling session, allowing residents of the Wetmore area to share stories and photos highlighting the essence of our community. Approximately 21 people and 2 Custer County Commissioners from Wetmore, Westcliffe, Florence, Coal Creek, Canon City, Fowler and Denver areas were in attendance as Project Manager Judy Walden facilitated the discussion and Research Specialist Jeanne Fenter-Snider took notes. It was a lively and interesting evening as local family histories and memories were shared.
