Wetmore Cornet Band, 1891
Bandsmen left to right were Fred Walters, William Storm, William Reed, Cal Sweeten, John Kelly, Howard Goff and Tom Reed.

The Wetmore Cornet Band would play at parades, county fairs, baseball games and horse races. According to long- time resident, Mrs. Edith Hall, “the band had a regular bandwagon for parades and a bandstand at the ball park. The ball park and first race track was located one mile north of Wetmore and on part of the present Hall ranch. There was no grandstand at the ball park. Spectators sat in buggies or stood on the sidelines. Two days after one such celebration, lighting destroyed the bandstand.”
