Dorothy Urban passed on October 12th, 2021.
No other details are available at this time. She was age 88.
Dorothy was a tireless community member, who almost single handedly managed the Silver Cliff History Museum. For years, she worked every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day running the museum and delighting visitors with the history of Custer County. She curated the collection of artifacts and kept the museum alive.
She was also a long-time board member of Frontier Pathways Scenic and Historic Byway, and was the driving force behind the informational pull-out at Hwy 96 and Oak Creek Grade where you’ll see three panels describing the history of our area.
Dorothy was a very special person and will be missed by those whose lives she touched.
